John Olney is an equity partner and co-founder of H2SO. John specialises in investment agency in central London and has advised on transactions valued at in excess of £4bn.  Prior to H2SO, he was at Lewis Ellis for 15 years which he helped build into one of the market's leading niche investment agencies.

In addition to advising on transactions, John also provides consultancy on maximising returns through refurbishment, development and asset management initiatives.

Notable transactions on which John has advised include:

  • The sale of the Prime Portfolio to Prestbury for £217m on behalf of Invista Real Estate.
  • The acquisition of properties known as the Wigmore Island Site on behalf of Scottish Widows over a period of 10 years and the subsequent sale of a 50% share to Great Portland Estates plc.
  • The acquisition of Portman Square House, W1 for £127.5m for Invista Real Estate.
  • The sale of IBM's headquarters building on the Southbank to Amsprop for £112m on behalf of UK and European.
  • The sale of four properties fronting New Burlington Street and New Burlington Place, W1 to The Crown Estate for £36.5m on behalf of Blackrock.
  • The sale of Stratton House, Stratton Street, W1 to WELPUT for £81.57m on behalf of Scottish Widows.
  • The acquisition, development and sale of 25 Soho Square, W1 on behalf of Merrill Lynch.
  • The acquisition, re-gear and disposal of 10-18 Victoria Street, SW1 on behalf of Scottish Widows.
